Psychology DatasetsThe following datasets are available. BullyingBullying in schools has always been an issue of public concern in the UK. A study funded by the DES set about collecting bullying data using a survey of 23 schools in Sheffield. The survey was conducted during the 1990s with the object of identifying different forms of intervention needed to diminish bullying. Can We Detect Dyslexia?Poor reading ability may be taken as an indication of potential dyslexia. Reading Age Deficiency (RAD) can be calculated from the results of a series of tests and it would be helpful to identify which tests taken at an early age might be used as predictors of poor reading ability. Measures from a Psychology Student SurveyAs a way of attempting to make data, and its investigation, relevant to an audience it has long been appreciated that data originating from the audience itself is more likely to appeal than not. With this in mind the present dataset was obtained from a single cohort of Level 1 students studying Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast in the year 2000. Is Spatial Memory Age-related?There is a commonly-held belief that it is more difficult for the elderly than for the young to learn and remember new material. Research seems to support this view, but the explanation for it is far from clear. A question of interest is whether these findings relate to all forms of memory. Here we look at spatial memory, which is an essential part of our ability to function as an individual within our environment. |
